Urban Chestnut is celebrating Oktoberfest this Friday *and* Saturday in The Grove. Make sure you stop in and see us here at Serendipity!

From Noon to 11:30 pm*, it will be two days of live music, Stein Holding Competitions, a silent disco, axe throwing, craft vendors, more!

This is an indoor/outdoor event. No tickets required. All ages welcome. Pets welcome at Oktoberfest and on Serendipity’s Pooch Patio.

*Note: Serendipity open from Noon to 10 pm. There is still time to get out your best Dirndl and Lederhosen. We can’t wait to see you!

GroveFest is more than just a festival — it's a vibrant annual community celebration that highlights the unique spirit of the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood, affectionately known as “The Grove.”

For 18 years, GroveFest transforms Manchester Avenue into a lively, bustling venue, bringing together local businesses and residents for this one-day extravaganza offering something for everyone.

GroveFest hosts 130+ vendors and provides music and entertainment. It is kid-friendly until 6 pm. There is a kids zone from 3 pm to 6 pm with activities for kids. There is also a small dog park near the kidszone.

*Note: Serendipity's Ice Cream Shop is open from Noon to 10 pm.

Last week, we survived a break in on Monday, and a power outage on Tuesday. Thank you for spreading the love and offering kind words of encouragment and support on social media. It meant a lot.

We had to board up our broken front door, but we “took a lemon and make lemonade” thanks to the efforts of staff member Olivia Fleming. She did an incredible job. Stop by and check it out!
